@lowqualityfacts That's when the optimum amount of plastic has leached into the water, perfectly steeped.

@lowqualityfacts if you get the 100% BPA free bottles, the water lasts a couple of years.

@lowqualityfacts But it lasts longer than if the same water was put in plastic milk bottles. Milk bottles only work for a couple of weeks. Compare the expiration dates for yourself.

@lowqualityfacts taking the comment way too seriously hat on /water is hydrogen and oxygen. a hydrogen nucleus is atom is just a proton. some physics suggest protons decaybut the half life is postulated to be 1.67×10^34 yearsfor comparison the universe is 1.38×10^10 years oldso yes, the water could rot, but you won't be around to worry about it/ taking the comment way too seriously hat off

@lowqualityfacts Actually ... the process of polymerization never completes, and plastic bottles contribute some reactants to the water they contain. Occasionally drinking bottled water isn't a threat, but it might be on a continuous basis. And water left in plastic bottles for long periods will have great concentrations of those chemicals. Simply emptying these bottles, rinsing with tap water, refilling, then drinking in a day or so is very safe. Left sitting. for months: not so much.

@lowqualityfacts realistically, now it could be the time before the water absorbs enough plastic to taste funny,.... 😂

@lowqualityfacts My dad says everything lasts long, especially water. He couldn't be even more wrong, he's kind of a non-conformist isn't he?
