       There are spaces where LLMs, even those generating actual text can be used in meaningful ways. Personally I don't feel like those spaces are really explored much, instead we force these systems into contexts where their built-in problems just multiply and create bigger issues.

       @tante I was talking yesterday with someone who has a stake in the RAG/LLM space. They feeling I got is that they explore the meaningful spaces only insofar as they can function as showcases of usefulness, so they can be used to justify everything else.I think the problem is that the space in which LLMs are useful is small, not that profitable and cannot be used to affect public policy. But that's not gonna work for the SV people, is it?
