You know if there's one thing that really helped build my respect for every single soldier and officer of the 3rd Reich since day one it's watching cops and soldiers of my own country act like absolute nigger-fucked cunts.Not once have I seen legitimate footage of a German soldier throw a puppy off a cliff or dump depleted uranium rounds into little kids. Never have I seen pictures of SS officers mag dumping a dude with his hands in the air, even if he fucking deserved it or drag an old woman in need of medical attention to her death.For every nasty thing I was ever told about the Nazis, it pales in comparison to the fucked up shit American's voluntarily did on fucking camera.

It started back then. I can't find it but there's a famous photo from (I think) the 1930s of a group of people on a beach trying to revive a drowning victim. Photographer sets up for the shot and immediately one of the women involved stops assisting, poses and smiles for the camera.

I remember reading a memoir of a WW2 bomber crewman who was shot down in the balkans somewhere. They surrendered to the Germans who escorted them to a POW camp. They were grateful because the locals they were "liberating" wanted to lynch them.

@Eiregoat @faithinhumanity_diminished @ShtPoastAnon I think there were enough people in Europe who had nice things to say about the allies that they were able to filter in those accounts for documentaries and other such propaganda. I think its also reasonable to believe that many of the ones who felt differently had little incentive to speak their minds either because they were just greatful to walk away from that war with their lives or they were intimidated into keeping quiet and just going along to get along, atleast until the 90s from what I've been told.

The Spanish captured a Red who ended up just being a naïve teenager and not some vicious commissar, but they shot him anyway.I watched a vid on the dirlewanger brigade a year ago and the conclusion was that the stories of torture were false but they were brutal fighters who killed a ton of people.So this gets exaggerated just like the Spanish Fascists to become the monsters they are presented as today.
