In #Germany, the high school curriculum includes a study in current #American propaganda (which can largely be applied to #Canada,too) and it teaches them about American exceptionalism, the denial of slavery’s impacts on current day race relations, and the way Americans are conned into believing they don’t deserve universal healthcare. It is a subject of study.

@LALegault do you think highschool is the right place for this? In Holland you can only choose this subject in college..

@Krisss @LALegault Well, I mean 🤷 I mean, Capitalism, amirite?For perspective, I got a few hours of "how advertizing works" in junior high back in the '70s, which I reference to this day. (Tl;dr: in whose interest is it that you believe [___]?) (Which is actually a compelling reason for capitalist TPTB to want people to NOT get be educated about propaganda.)

@Krisss @LALegault Back in the days, also in the Netherlands, it was taught as a part of high-school history class.
