       I bought a set of very cheap pricking irons for #leatherworking. They needed a lot of force to pull them out of thick leather, especially the 6-prong iron, because the faces were very rough, probably from laser cutting at the factory? So I invested an hour to polish them up, first with a needle file draw-filing up and down the prongs, then with 280 grit sandpaper and water to get rid of the burr, and then oiled them to prevent rust. Now they're a joy to work with! ☺️

       Based on an hourly rate of 30€/h, this set of four resulted in a price of about 50€, still half the price of one(!) professionally crafted iron!
