@thenewoil Nope. It will rebound once #Google pushes their #ManifestV3 BS through next year and people want an alternative.

@thenewoil I hope the article comes out to be wrong. FF is a good though not perfect browser. The dominance of chrome needs to end edge and safari are well... But until people gare about their privacy it seems to be a loosing battle.

@cslinuxboy @thenewoil FF user here, so this comes from a place of love, not hate/trolling.Whilst i'd love your prediction to be correct, i fear it's prolly wrong.Reason: Iirc apparently a majority of browser users use no script-blocking / ad/tracker-blocking defences [eg, #uBO] at all, thus are already historically & now subject to the full horror of untrammelled interwebz yuckiness. Logically therefore, none of this Manifest jargon means anything to them, & they're unaware that an ad/tracker-free UX is even a thing, ergo, it won't even cross their minds to look for any alternative browser. I despair for humans. 🤦‍♀️#Chrome #Chromium #Firefox #ManifestV3

@MsDropbear425 @cslinuxboy Sadly I agree with you. Every time I think a company has gone too far and people get all riled up and go "this is the last straw!" they settle down within a few weeks and just accept it. The Twitter/Mastodon migration showed this to be true. People are stuck hard and I think the only thing that can move them at this point is the service whole-sale disappearing.
