       More "masking" thoughts:The point in the workday where I most feel the weight of being autistic, and the charade I have to play for Allistic folks is when I close the zoom for the daily standup.My face collapses. My body slumps. I've just come to the end of 15-30 minutes of exhausting face acting: regularly checking my camera to see if I'm still smiling "enough", and have body language that looks positive "enough".@actuallyautistic 1/2

       @masukomi @actuallyautistic You don't have to be autistic to hate useless ritualistic meetings. It steals energy from everyone.

       @nxadm @actuallyautistic 100%, but to build on that, I think they drain us more. Partially because we're doing more work to not present in a way that'll make them think we're ass-holes. Partially, (i say without any evidence) I think those meetings drain autistic folks more. 3 hours of meetings in one day make me absolutely useless.
