       Blows my mind that I have to say this, but if you are a professor and you’ve just tested positive for covid, DON’T GO TEACH YOUR SEMINAR IN PERSON THE NEXT DAY — let alone demand that your immunocompromised students attend class. You are not remotely that important. Not remotely.

       @ct_bergstrom If you have *any* disease that can be easily transmitted, don’t end up in circumstances where you can infect others. COVID, flu, measles, herpes, HIV…don’t give other people your disease.

       @noodlemaz @michaelgemar @ct_bergstrom Going to a public place while infected with Covid is morally no different than giving someone HIV on purpose. Worse, really--at least effective inhibitors are available for HIV. There are no inhibitors for COVID that can be taken for more than a few days. Regardless of whether or not you get a little sick or a lot sick, Covid continues to ride you once acute phase symptoms recede and will do so until you break.
