@CSB @DotardTed maybe, but 2 SDC mics can be placed incorrectly, and you still have to build something that simulates the attenuation between the channels caused by the human head. That is required for ASMR/binaural mics.I personally prefer to record using mid/side mics instead of left/right for stereo recording.

@CSB Seriously, one of the more interesting aspects is spatial recording, where they tie in the 3D nature of the microphones with tracking glasses, so in a simulator, if you hear a sound behind you, you can turn your head and see what it is. That's a pretty complicated AI type application, I just read an article about a week ago, I'm gonna try to find it.
