       @mjg59 sometimes I don’t know if it’s the computers which are scary, or the use cases which are just too weird. For example, with floating-point arithmetic, is it the computers fault, or ours, for trying to approximate reals with a discrete machine?

       @mjg59 I'm always horrified when I hear non-technical business people speak confidently about how they can solve problems using new technology.(Not least because who's going to have to clean up the resulting mess? Me, that's who.)

       @mjg59 i just spent 4hours porting a kernel module introduced in 2002 (and left pretty much untouched since) to a new kernel infrastructure, just so I could make udev works correctly with it. I have no idea what you’re talking about.
