A little more about me so, just so you can know more about this whack job. In 2010 I attended the annual GSA (Geological Society of America) conference in Denver - as a presenter. I didn't care that my work would be rejected. I knew it would be, it was only important to me that I get it out there and on record. It was an amazing experience and I'm happy that I did it. Here's a response I just posted on X to someone who was pushing an "Expanded Earth" theory:https://x.com/StevieDougie/status/1731224286558589341?s=20 /

My response:I have worked on this for twenty years. Earth as a whole didn't undergo massive expansion and Plate Tectonics (long disproven), was always way off the mark. Like Mars and Earth's Moon before it (with their "hemispheric dichotomies"), Earth finally cooled (and exhausted much of its internal heat sources) to the point where its crust thickened, top down, as never before in its geological history. 2/

Tidal forcings, internal pressures, and rotational imbalances could no longer be resolved by subsurface liquid tectonics alone.250 million years ago, when Earth was covered by a single, mostly smooth crust (no high mountains, no deep oceans), a large bollide impact hit what is now Araguainha, Brazil in South America. Its massively concentrated antipodal shock waves initiated what are now known as the Siberian Traps.3/

Millions of years of lava flows ensued. The westward drift of the lithosphere over the trap's heat source resulted in a full breach of the solid crust and the opening of what would later become the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific opening gave rise to an ever-increasing rotational imbalance until the entire crust began to converge (over tens of millions of years), as one relatively thin but all-encompassing skin (Pangaea) onto one hemisphere, the central-most part being what is now Africa.4/

This same event caused an axial tilt and massive 'continental' fracturing, as crustal parts later played a part in rotational equilibrium by disbursement, with northerly 'continental' migrations and a partial re-closing (still ongoing) of the once much larger Pacific Ocean. 5/

Northerly detachment of India, Africa, Australia and South America from Antarctica left us with what are now TWO major landmasses, or continents. All but Antarctica are still connected by continental (mostly felsic) crust. Earth, like its moon and Mars billions of years ago, has been undergoing a natural and inevitable process I refer to as planetary 'ecdysis' (moulting, like the shedding the old skin by reptiles, insects and arthropods).6/6Glad I got that off my chest.

@StevenDouglas Well done Steven. It’s nice to be able yo pull out research from years earlier. Here ya go , in your face.Education is never wasted.Well, unless your a libtard.

@Jaime I never researched down in the weeds. I was an avid follower and reader of papers from only the topmost rated solid Earth scientists I could find in all the myriad disciplines. It was THEIR conclusions (ALL of which went against what was/is commonly taught in cartoon form in universities) that led me to mine. WARREN HAMILTON (1925 - 2018) - Geophysicist and Penrose Medal winner from the Colorado School of Mines was my mentor. Meeting and talking with him in 2010 was such an honor.

@StevenDouglas Of course I had to go to X to get the rest of the story. I re-confirmed that I am a geological idiot. On top of that I failed the Neanderthal Challenge...that really needs to come and visit Quod Verum.

@StevenDouglas That’s amazing! An awesome experience for you.Reading your thread I’m never truly embarrassed about how much I don’t know. It’s a pleasure learning from others. Not a day goes by I’m not enriched by someone on this forum. Toddy it is you.♥️

@Gmajv It's my theory, not taught anywhere (of which I'm aware). It goes way deeper than my synopsis, but it was the only explanation that I could see that agrees well with all findings to date and requires no deep, exotic or unfalsifiable mechanisms.

@Jaime Some more on Warren Hamilton, a take no prisoners, suffer no fools gladly, top of the top of his field warrior. Here's a supercharged article he and D.L. Anderson (another mentor) co-wrote, where he slays a number of persistent myths in the solid Earth sciences.http://www.mantleplumes.org/Zombie.html

@StevenDouglas Good morning!Debunked most theories in regard to zombie science.Interesting. I see he’s written a book. I’d assume several or at least other published works.I’m amazed at how some humans brains work.I looked at the photo you attached yesterday, a man with a brilliant mind. Something very deep about him.

@Jaime One thing I loved most about him, and it's a hallmark of a truly great mind (like the late great Richard Feynman), is that he doesn't mince words. He's precise, concise, and can be read and easily understood by those not in his specific discipline.
