From what i've read in the article, Hovator is the common element in all these optically terrible exoduses. My theory is Striker wanted more funds not only for his journalism but also his own activism, Hovator who seems to control NJP's finances put a kaibash on his plans and forced Mike to reason with Striker somehow. That failed and here we are.

They already have volunteers working for them, asking some of them to be Striker's personal assistants isn't really a big ask. I love that guys volunteer and I would join in with them If I wasn't so geographically distant, but if one of the main and arguably most well-spoken and most ferocious advocates for your org can't have a guy help him part-time or full-time, than what the hell are you doing ? Its like they're running a ship with patchwork that could break if the waves got a bit more aggressive.
