@tilvids Most people, I think, will suck it up and deal with the annoyance of it, unfortunately. It just made me look for alternatives. They are out there.

@tilvidsI'm not so sure this is an option for the majority though. YouTube brings an amazing amount of convenience for what it does, and now people have the option to pay for no ads.#PeerTube and similar technologies are really cool, but so not yet posess the creators, the financial potential or the user base to replace YouTube.I would be happy if creators were available on both platforms though, I wish more YouTubers concidered #FOSS and #ActivityPub alternatives in general

@tilvids @vintprox I asked for an account so I could hit the like button. But I'm also considering moving my video to Peertube. I've tried D-tube last summer but I'm not sure what to think about the crypto aspect of that site.

@uberprutser @vintprox Anyone can make an account on TILvids (though we do manually-confirm each account to stop spam). If you want to post content, check again with our Matrix channel. It's all volunteers, and they have real-life obligations, but they do their best to help creators onto our community.
