Re: the "mysterious" pneumonia from China that has now reached Denmark: Most of these cases are due to a bacteria called Mycoplasma Pneumoniae, an infection seen predominantly in children. It can also be called "walking pneumonia" and most infections resolve on their own. For those that don't, it's treated with doxycycline, Azithromycin and sometimes fluroquinolones. This is an FYI in case the MSM tries to scare you into a pandemic panic.

@Karl_W_Braun @wziminer My sons girlfriend‘s brother was just diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday. Sent home with antibiotic. Felt pretty crappy high fever.Should really be no panic.There’s A million viruses out there right now..But hey, the media sucks.

@EarlThePearls Great job on the piano. Thanks for sharing. I hate to be a debbie downer, but when I see someone in OR gear outside of a hospital, I cringe. Are those clean scrubs? Why TF is he wearing his hat and mask? That mask is too small for him and not even the kind we wear in the OR. Those bands behind the ears are very uncomfortable. I am guessing he does NOT work in the OR, and not as a surgeon. I could be wrong though, because people are idiots.

@KCSooner4Trump Mycoplasma Pneumoniae has been around forever as well. Interestingly enough, though, those stupid paper masks DO help slow the spread of bacteria, though not viruses. If you are immune compromised, it's not a bad idea to think about masking up if you will be around sick people, or are sick yourself. Continue the 20 second handwashing that everyone was doing during Covid but seem to be slacking off on lately.

@wziminer My wife just came to me with one of these stories out of Asia. "Honey, some people are saying it's worse than Covid!" I calmly explained to her the difference between bacterial and viral infections, and why and how antibiotics work on the former and not the latter.It made sense to her because her unvaccinated dad had Covid AND pneumonia during the pandemic and quickly recovered from both after a full round of vitamin shots and antibiotic treatments for the pneumonia.
