@Woodbutcher my woodshop teacher terrified me of the lathe back in days... I used it when it was required, but that was it. I always imagined the peice flying into my.face....Those new fandagled auto lathes in an enclosed box are cool, I watch those videos sometimes, soothing

@Zahadoom my lathe is far from new fangled . Built in 1968 and weighs in at several hundred lbs. ..old school

@Woodbutcher yeah thats like I woulda have used. Green, bolted to the floor, massive thing. Either way I would be more nervous with a glued peice coming apart on me than a soild peice of wood.
