So lets look at this constitutionally. Fitting every car with a kill switch is effectively assuming every person driving a vehicle in the USA is going to commit a crime. Therefore it is an assumption of potential future guilt. That has to breach so many amendments. Time to kick out the traitor Rino's who voted for this not only from congress but exile them out of the USA and strip them of their citizenship too they and the liberals supporting it should never be allowed back into the USA. This law in and of itself is a crime against every citizen of the USA as is the bank secrecy act, the patriot act and all the other bullshit laws they use to monitor and control totally lawful activities in the name of protecting us from crimes. Sorry we need protection from the criminals in government and the traitor agencies they use as their bully enfircers.

You need to read the Law!As a car guy and a native Californian I have followed and learned how to bypass restrictions here.It says New Cars starting in 2035 need to be capable of zero percent hydrocarbon emissions. It says Nothing about pre-existing autos, trucks, motorcycles, busses, trains or aircraft. Have you Ever heard of a state requirement making its proposed launch 2yrs ahead? 11yrs ain't ever happened, they can't keep any narrative relevant for longer than a election cycle....

The consequences of stupidity. Almost all vehicles use power steering and power assisted braking these days. Kill the engine and the vehicle becomes difficult to impossible to control at medium to high speeds. The LPO who uses his computer to do that then becomes liable if death or injury occurs for one or many motorists in one or many vehicles. He or she would lose their limited liability if they could not show that they acted in good faith and exercised sound judgement. On the other hand the local, state, or federal government could use that same kill-switch to prevent you from starting your vehicle and using it in the normal course of your life. Such power could be used to ration vehicle usage to hours of the day, days of the week, and even weeks of the month. The only way to survive without your own vehicle is to move into an urban area where you either walk or use public transportation. This is how you bring about the new WEF world of wonder.
