@obihahn I could definitely land a plane . . . .after about 3 years of training. And on a long runway. With no winds. Piece of cake.

@obihahn @bnadstra @sir737 Just recently there was a news of small FL plane landed by passenger w no flying training, guided by the control tower, just as in a movie... So, with outside help it is plausible. I understand complexity of it, trained flying gliders in my youth, calm rational mind might be the crucial resource.

@obihahn @bnadstra @sir737 Its been a while but I have over 200 landings in a 737 in MS Flight Sim :) At least I know where to look for levers and dials! Now as far as driving a tractor - over 4000 hours in Farm Sim!

@obihahn @bnadstra @sir737 as a pilot of about 40 different aircraft from dual turbine helicopters to gliders to 4 engine jets and fighter aircraft, if you can land in flight simulator, you'll be fine with minimal coaching. Mythbusters did an episode on it

@obihahn @sir737 Agree w @Iamthebammbamm in that even if you’ve just done some computer flight sim stuff, you’d know what your looking for when you’re being talked through it. Might not be pretty but you probably could land it with survivors despite airframe being a total loss. But we have new hires that land the airplane with barrly a total airframe loss after weeks of training🤣

@bnadstra @obihahn @sir737 as a child obsessed with flying and glued to MS Flight Sim, I was able to land on my first flight in an airplane (as copilot) at 14. Instructor obviously wasn't stupid enough to let me do it, but let me take it to low final.
