       (Not so?) hot take: user interfaces should not show event times using vague relative times like "11 hours ago" (I am looking at you, GitHub, but you're not alone) because it's a pain to compare with times of other events from my mail, chat, whatever.No, showing the absolute time in a tooltip is *not* good enough.

       @agateau It's my least-favorite anti-feature in #kde KMail, where i have never managed to switch off the lousy "yesterday" / "friday" display in the message list. This is why i wait a week before answering mail, then i can see the whole date.

       @kdedude @agateau Go toSettings > Coonfigure KMail > Appearance > Message List Under "Date Display", check either the "Standard Format"  or "Localised Format" radio button.
