@graf All of a sudden my instance has stopped federating. Looked at journal ctl but don't see any issues. If you see my Federated timeline, it's all Local posts. A reply I sent to a user a few minutes back also didn't show in my profile's Replies tab. Yes. Federation is enabled (Pic 2)

@graf Strange but it's still not working. Have waited for close to 5 minutes. Tried with other browsers too. Scrolled my federated timeline but it's all posts from my instance.

@msilvya mark down all of your MRF rejects and delete them all (the defederations). the way they are parsed has changed and that might be what your issue is. your federation is working to poast, your stuff coming in not federating is likely due to that MRF. poa.st/notice/AcFlIlQkurL14uvynw

@zero @msilvya we are going to switch to dedicated VMs on a hypervisor for better cost for us and better performance for the customers. existing customers will be given the option to migrate and receive a small service credit and all VMs will be in the same datacenter poast is in so everybody will be free from deplatforming or whatever (providing its not illegal) if you are going to do it, I would wait until we deploy that which will probably be mid-late january 2024 or maybe february. depends on my availability in the coming weeks

i assume that means i will still have to ssh in to do updates, run certbot every 3 months.. etc... but the upside is that i can request an extra 100gb for / and get it at reasonable price and auto expanding of the volume. or if im restarting would you recommond media directory to be on its own mountpoint and then i ask to upgrade that as needed.

@zero @msilvya nope. we will be handling everything. it's a managed service. it's just, providing stand alone VPS allows us to control user experience better, it's more cost effective for us and it is more reliable overall. no ssh access will be provided because everything is puppeted by master servers. btrfly currently has no limits, everything is 'soft' but we monitor it. going this route it will be a hard limit with the ability to upgrade resources (and also upgrade tiers say from entry level->pro) @pasture
