1/2 - Oh great I got my first SPAM in @Alby This is not good! I never gave permission for people to use my Alby Lightning address. And paying me §1 sat is not enough to message me with spam.First I should have been asked if I wanted to receive this spam and second, told how much I would be paid for my time and attention. @adam @dave @james @bumi

@samsethi @Alby @adam @dave @james @bumi Ah yes Satospams I call these. It's trivial to make a filter to weed them out (when reading them from the command line on my LND node) I'm sure Alby and friends will pick up the ball on that. Maybe filter anything below 10 sats (currently I'm using 3 sats as my cutoff). The overwhelming majority of them are 1 sat

@Alby @adam @dave @james @bumi 2/2. - Thirdly I then should have had the option to accept or reject this spam. If the value offered is too low for my time and attention then I don't want it. Maybe I value receiving this spam/message at §100 SATS. Please don't make this the future. This is why WordPress comments died and why Pingbacks for notifications also died. My Alby Dashboard and Saturn already need updating with filters

@harvhat @samsethi @Alby @dave @james @bumi It's called 'satsvertising' and it originated from nostr and wallet of satoshiThe 'feature' of the lightning address scheme

@samsethi @Alby @adam @dave @james @bumi And naturally you still get to keep the sats even when you don't read them!

@samsethi @Alby @dave @james @bumi Helipad solves this by only showing TLV records that are of type boostagram

@adam @samsethi @Alby @dave @james @bumi Most of them are currently originating from https://satogram.xyz/Which why I call them satospams since it kinda rhymes.

@adam @samsethi @Alby @dave @bumi I wish I knew how to code for Helipad. *So* much I'd like to do (not least, recognising sat-streamers).

@james Cool. But also experiment with some rust programming James. It’s not too bad and you’d be good at it I’m sure.

@dave @james Rust isn't too bad once you learn how it wants you to handle variables. This video does a good job covering it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usJDUSrcwqIIt feels like any other modern language after that point.
