But in 2020 nearly everyone online lost hope and went mad. so much culture war demoralization had been building up combined with every single site clamping down harder and harder on any sort of even the mildest dissonance, having the presidential election blatantly stolen in front of everyone noses and the January 6th guided tour just broke the dam.
