       Filesystems are an anachronism.  We came to accept them as just the way things are, but they are not intrinsic to computing, they're an implemented abstraction, and we can implement and use other abstractions.If you were to design a greenfield persistent storage abstraction what would it be like?

       @carapace agreed - the hierarchical nature of folders in folders can be a real PITA I would use Collections:A given doc or doc container is in certain Collections. Each Collection has separate access rights. Collections are searchable and discoverable.
