@Wolven It is mildly terrifying to see the low vaccine numbers. Also wild to see that we are at an all time high for vaccine exemptions for kids in school. We thought COVID was bad. We are going to cook up some super bugs in this stew.

@Wolven There are some talks happening on Wednesday that I'd really like to hear, however they are, of course, in-person only, and I'm virtually certain there will be no measures taken to mitigate airborne pathogens. And then the next day I may be spending with a 93-year-old grandma whose immune system is virtually non-existent. It would be professionally useful to attend those talks, but I don't really want to put family at risk (honestly, I'm not even crazy about it for myself).And, of course, I have it much easier than the people who are, themselves, immunocompromised, in some way or have existing conditions that make these viruses more dangerous.

@Wolven White people are *not* getting vaxxed overall. Surprise, surprise.And a whole host of people I know just came home from a 2k person author event with various forms of con crud (including Covid). I keep thinking: “You all could have masked!” They. All. Could. Have. Masked.

@Wolven @thorncoyle I finally got COVID. I'm so dumb. (+_+)Went to a new blues club. Small. Crowded. Fun as hell. Two days of burning constricted throat while it tried to open a beach head in my lungs with no luck.
