@Economic_Hitman @schwierking Without getting nitty gritty, a Technician is allowed to use VHF and higher bands for short range communication.General Class, may operate on shortwave, which allows for global long range communication.The General test is not much more difficult than the easy technician test, so consider testing for both.For Extra Class, you should have a background/experience with RF electronics.
