       Good rule of thumb, but I make exceptions when the terms are justified and fitting. "Far-right" is by far more used as a manipulative propaganda tool.

       Far-right is used as pejorative way more often than far-left in the mainstream meadia. Even in "rightwing" media, the use of "far-left" is not very frequent.
