@ChristiJunior @RehnSturm256 @McMongoose @locagainstwall I think the Wachowskis originally made the Matrix out of their fascination with Gnostic and Christian symbolism along with philosophy, given they did make the cast read philosophy for the movie. While trooning out they probably read SJW thinkpieces saying it was actually a troon allegory and retconned it in their own brains due to the HRT. The fourth one feels like it was made out of obligation to deboonk the shitlords saying it wasn't originally a troon movie, but NPH was a redeeming quality because I genuinely liked the whole "we made the Matrix again with a part you would actually enjoy" angle and found it even a bit of a self-own to the whole intent of trying to take the Matrix back for the libtards. The whole part where NPCs also just get randomly turned into a zombie swarm reminded me of the libtard reactions to current things on social media from Gamergate to Trump, impeachment and Ukraine, spicy flu, J6, Ukraine again, and I guess now Israel or Palestine, which again felt like it was defeating the intent of remaking the Matrix for libtards. The movie does however keep the dumbest part of the third movie suddenly using the power of love and make it even stupider, which along with the rehash factor is why it still is not good even if you took out all the pozzed elements. Plus, Revolutions for its crummy core film has perfect closure where Neo achieves digital apotheosis and every thread is tied up neatly, so the very idea of continuing from that ending with any story besides "how does humanity live with the machines in that post-apocalyptic wasteland" is automatically stupid and bad.
