So, for all the idiots out there claiming that Israel is engaging in war crimes, perhaps consider this, and also think about what the definition of a war crime is, because the only ones committing war crimes, appears to be Hamas. The double standard. Accuse your enemy of that which you do. When Palestine starts a war (and it was the country because Hamas controls Palestine by democrat vote) by targeting and massacring civilians, including babies, it is justifiable to these terrorists. Easily looked over. Doesn't matter. When that war crime starts a war, as it should, Hamas then hides behind children as to maximize casualties. Another war crime by Hamas. Then, of course, Hamas and Palestine inflates and highlights any casualty caused by the horrors of the war THEY started, pretends it's a war crime, and points the finger at Israel. Casualties are not war crimes, just like lethal self defense isn't murder. War is a terrible thing Palestine shouldn't have started. The only people who want genocide is Hamas and Hamas supporters shouting "from the river to the sea".

Yes, the IDF have killed over 5,000 children in just over a month. Apparently you aren't even aware that the IDF have been found guilty of using human shields by the Israeli Supreme Court on several occasions. I've attached one example from 2008-2009 where an Israeli military court found 2 soldiers guilty of doing just that. I don't know what Hollyweird movie you think we live in but shooting through a hostage isn't legal or moral. But then again, Israel are always committing crimes against humanity. You have a right to self defense. Your country has an obligation to defend you. War is terrible, but it is sometimes necessary. Israel must fight the war Palestine started for the same reason you must shoot the man shooting at you. Not doing so is suicide. It would be morally reprehensible for Israel to stand by and let their citizens be massacred, and Israel's government would have legitimately ended it's reason for it's own existence. The only people slaughtering innocents is Hamas. Israel is defending itself.

Did not imply it either. What I said is if you blow up a building, the time you gave them to leave is irrelevant. It's still wonton destruction. I speak from the POV of someone who committed atrocity for my country thinking I was righteous. In truth I was creating a self licking icecream cone, much as Israel is doing now. Secondly, Hamas is not the people, and the people are not Hamas. Killing women and children in an offensive manner does not equal self defense. If you hunt down someone who broke into you house, and kill them in their house, that's not self defense. There are options that exist between do nothing and bomb the entire strip one building at a time. Anyone who says that's the only two options is manipulating you.

@tuxedoblackfoot no its not saying they should do nothing. In Iraq, we used precision munitions. We hit tops and sides of building and patted ourselves on the back at how accurate we were. We kept doing it and one day there were no buildings left and the CDE (collateral damage estimate) was upwards of 50%, not counting drone strikes which are closer to 90%. Having lived and fought this same fight before, Israel isn't even trying as hard as we did and our results were still horrific. The people aren't hamas. To take another tactic, let's pretend the people are the government and the government is the people. Does that mean your life is forfeit for the crimes of your government? Are you responsible for the drone strikes and terror U.S. service members enacted on an unwilling population?
