Ugh, Microsoft.I'm trying to demo a friend's product, so I need to create an account for Microsoft's AppSource. And it won't let me create an account with a Hotmail or Gmail address. Those are "personal" accounts. I have to use my "work" account. I use Gmail for work. I don't have anything else. I can't believe they just turn you away if you don't have a custom-domain email. (I have plenty of domains, I just don't bother using them for email.) What a pain.

@grammargirl Could it be because a person's "work" email server is most likely Microsoft Exchange? Naw, they learned their lesson on those sorts of tricks with the whole browser incident, right?

@grammargirl I’ve seen sites reject email accounts with “.ca” top-level domains. “.com” or GTFO, I guess?

I found an old email address and reactivated it, and finally got in to the Microsoft 365 system. I really, really want to try my friend's product, but I might end up murdering someone before I'm done using Word. What a mess.
