       @Quentin Well, since you chose a period (in terms of punctuation) and not a question mark the expression seems clear. But then, i've always imagined life as a eunich slave/attendent to an Egyptian empress, or to Caesar's wife, to not have much pleasure (to go with the same amount of pain everyone gets in aging), given our sensory apparatus as it degrades.
