@Terry They may or may not have made to invade by the jews, but the puritans had a desire to genocide the Irish Catholics. They were open to banking and quite willing to let jews take over the merchant houses, unlike many on the continent—excluding the Dutch of whom they were on good terms with.

@EdBoatConnoisseur @Terry Holier than thou Calvinist extremists didn't much care to remove usury and debt from society, just enforce their views and beliefs on other Christians, eg banning Christmas and being even more harsh on religious dissent than the Church of England that they dethroned during the "commonwealth".

@EdBoatConnoisseur @Terry The also were open to divorce and tried to change the laws to open it up while they were in power, they claimed it was popery to restrict or ban it. You can see where this has had an impact in the USA due to them and their descendants nonsense through the ages.
