@itsfoss I use Session, Signal, and Element. Though, you may want to rethink the inclusion of Telegram due to its own dodgy past with security and spam

@itsfoss I use #Signal and #XMPP. Mostly prefer XMPP but it's hard to get the normals to use it. The excellent #Conversations app is a great XMPP client for #Android.

@itsfoss Telegram really should not be listed.No E2EE, requirement of phone numer, closed source server, collaboration with Tencent, Russian roots, recently hostile to forks, uses Google Cloud Messaging...

@veer66 @itsfoss So is WhatsApp.But this is just a claim, as we cannot see the source code of these two apps. It's basically talking to a middleman that promise it would encrypt what we say so he won't be able to know it.
