@sj Cryptocurrency became anathema because of all the scams. Many of the scams appeared to be amazingly well-financed, right out of the gate. The US is remarkably effective at preventing private citizens from moving resources across national borders … unless you have the resources of the top-one-percent. Or are a corporation.Certain varieties of cryptocurrency still *could* fix some of these personal-capital-portability issues. But you’ll never hear about them.
