My wife wants a pair of cowgirl boots, but I have no idea where to look/what to buy... She's a cowgirl at heart, but we live in CT, so they won't be getting cowgirl use (or much use at all, lol). Is there a brand I should be looking at/avoiding? Prices seem to run from $30-$300 for boots that look identical to me. Anyone with boot experience want to weigh in?

@johnfiorello leather. It's all in the quality of leather.Ask her what her favourite shops are? I'm guessing she doesn't really want a leather sole!

@Mummabear When you say shops, are there boot-specific shops? Or do you mean like Amazon? I did a quick google search and was surprised to find there are actually a few boot shops in CT down by the shore!Maybe I'll take her for a drive and visit one to see what she thinks :)

@johnfiorello I hate to say this, but give boot barn a call. They're usually really nice, but it is a large chain. Maybe you live near Manchester, CT, they have one. It depends on the heel type you want, and there's different leathers, colors, and cuts. I'd call and find out what basic info you need, just be honest and hopefully they're honest back. Trying them in person though is best. And they get better with time usually.https://www.bootbarn.com/stores?StoreID=0410

@johnfiorello Yeah, she loves them. I ordered these because of the short shaft, easier to get in and off. They have quite a few less “shiny” and you can get 20% off your first order.
