@Cousin_Isobel How many would though? The pride in being American is at all-time low, so they will not want to 'represent' their country in 'foreign spats'. All I see these days is the young adults hating America while enjoying all the things that being American gives them for nothing. It is surreal how stupid Gen Z looks like. I wonder if we were that stupid in our time.

@PohlMe I guess it depends on how well they’re doing after having had to find other work. I can’t really see wanting to risk my life for Ukraine or Israel. However, these are young adults who had originally wanted to serve, but objected to the Covid vax mandates.

@PohlMe @Cousin_Isobel all of this stuff was engineered. Every single thing that they did from not teaching the positive important parts of our history to removing the Pledge of Allegiance from the classroom, the media, the news, every little teeny part accumulated into this shit.I'm only realizing now that it was partly done to me. I'm old enough to be on the heels of gen X and was there for the beginning of the change. It continued in my youth on NPR and everywhere else. I'm now realizing how much they took from me and how easy it is to do this to young people because of their life stage, desire for independence, and need to stretch their wings combined with ignorance and inexperience. I see how they destroy all the ties and also all the pride, to country, town, state, family, parents and children, religion, culture, history, and tradition. What are we left with? Time without holidays with family, no young children to grow up and add to the family, no connections, nothing to care about but things.

Seriously, I’m reading books and giving it my best effort.The UN created modern Israel, then condemned it dozens of times in the General Assembly (albeit with the United States often fighting Israel’s corner in the security council), made a somewhat balanced statement after the October 2023 atrocities, seemingly angered Israel, made Ben Shapiro blow his top, and now, they’re about to come to Israel’s aid against Gaza/Hamas/the Palestinians in some fashion? I thought Israel was doing well (“well” as in having a lot of successful attacks) on its own.
