       @signalapp Do you have a public list of bigger/corporate sponsors? I like the idea of Signal funded by users, but it's just hard to believe with numbers like these mentioned in the article

       @signalapp I've read the post and it was interesting but I'm still having trouble trusting a privacy oriented application that mandates a phone number to function.

       @signalapp You'd be doing yourself a huge favor if you added a recurring annual donation in the app. I'm happy to donate $5-10/year but $60/year (the current minimum donation amount) is way too high for something barely anyone I know actually uses.

Means that $1/month is actually a reasonable subscription price, one that both covers running costs and leaves some profit to be spent on feature development. I’d be very happy to get entirely off of WhatsApp and instead pay Signal $1/month.

       @Mathemagician @risottobias @dan613 @signalapp If I want to do it via the app, on a recurring basis (which is what I’d prefer over one lump sum), the minimum is €5! That’s surely missing out on the opportunity for some people to give what they can. @signalapp if you want revenue, make it easy for us!
