@AWIVR @joey I prefer analog clocks though because the arrows are easier for me to see than the digitsbut I also prefer electronic ones, because even though mechanical clocks/watches have their aesthetics for being self-sufficient, they're still way less precise¹ and need service more often than the electronic ones need battery replacement²I also feel strong aversion to clutter in the watches — seconds arrow and a calendar are OK but everything else is just a distraction, not to mention decorative elements, also the contrast must be as high as possible and glare as little as possible¹ 15 seconds a day versus 1 second a day² once a year versus once in couple years

@amiloradovsky @AWIVR @joey the digital casios are about as basic as you can get, the only features you get are a better backlight and a slightly bigger LCD display. As professional aviator and the only box the W59/A168 doesn't check is having a multiple time zone feature, but I rarely transit time zones with my job. The watch doesn't lose enough seconds to matter to me until it's time to adjust for daylight savings time every 6 months anyways. It hits the perfect balance of price to performance for me.

@joey @AWIVR this served me well for IDK maybe seven years now — only the coating worn off a bit exposing the copper
