       I like the cast iron ones, super handy, you can have it cooking at camp while you go do stuff. It is nice. I haven' ever seen a porcelain or ceramic one but I am sure you are right.

       If you need one go to an army/navy surplus store, amongst all the non army/navy items (lol those stores really dont have the good stuff anymore) they usually sell brand new cast iron. Dutch oven goes about 40 bucks-ish depending on size.

       @AWIVR@shitposter.club @MisterRogersSnapped@seal.cafe they started being made from iron as early as the 18th century, around when they added a lip to the lid to hold charcoal as well. At least English/American Dutch ovens which is what I’m referring to.
