I've put a lot of distance between myself and the politics of Cecil County of late because I just can't with the level of crazy coming out of many of its politicos lately.The Dems in the county are bad enough. The bitter surly disingenuous curs that want to preach to defend their lust for political power.The Republicans have kept the majority since the Obama years by being stable and rational, and that has been degraded. It's hard to look at my news feeds without seeing schizo level stuff>

<dingbats are coming out with all this ahead of a big election year. 2024 is when the Republicans have the most seats to defend in the county and they're not doing a good job of looking more stable and representing conservative values.

@Debradelai And the impressionable minds eat it up like it's candy. Having to talk my great aunt out of believing that Biden is a stand-in on Trump's payroll and the real one passed away years ago from a heart attack was like talking to a wall.

@Debradelai The really saddening part is a lot of these folks are now undermining their own work. The County Executive we got in has done a great job. Fixed the budget, cut local taxes every year, refinanced the county's debt to save millions on interest, improved the credit rating, and even improved response times for emergency services.But she supported Kelly Schultz for the GOP nomination for governor last year over Dan Cox and since she didn't pass that purity test it's Dem time for them.
