       @cancel @aks so, yes that’s ridiculous and I wonder the same thing. and I also wonder if Apple devs over-rely on APFS de-duplicating file blobs to make copying files “free”

       @ashfurrow @cancel @aks are they real copies or not, though?AFAIK all file copy operations in MacOS on an APFS filesystem automagically do the reflinks now (except cp which needs the -c flag)https://github.com/dyorgio/apfs-clone-checker
