@runewake2 I wonder if this is a weird example of over-correcting for bias? It's possible the image recognition and DALL-E prompt generation piece deliberately avoided passing through racial characteristics to the generation step

@simon I guess I'm just not convinced that even if the prompt actually worked that erasing people and how they present and replacing them with facsimile would be a representation of diversity in any meaningful way and instead seems to outright misunderstand it.I do not think the prompts you share in that article suggest that Open AI understands this distinction either.

@simon@fedi.simonwillison.net Does this mean we get persistent Code Interpreter sessions with this?That would be amazing, it was really frustrating to always have to recreate sessions and convince gpt every time that yes, it really is able to execute shell commands.

@simon which would be fine if 1) ethnicity were just about colour; 2) they rendered everyone with colourless, transparent skin. As it is it’s aryanising, which is not ok. Literally wiping out records of diversity!
