       @lowqualityfacts this is actually to fulfill a since-overturned FCC regulation around station and programming identification. most shows back then ignored it, but the FCC commissioner at the time made an example of Everybody Loves Raymond because they refused to write an episode where Raymond almost dies after encountering some weed
