       It's a different experience to do a system upgrade in a terminal that you work on. Always a nail biter.

       @hergertme@fosstodon.org That's why I always do a system upgrade in tmux. So even if the terminal dies, the terminal session is saved.

       @charadon @hergertme Alacritty crashed once during an upgrade, but I was immediately reassured that nothing would break as my music was still playing since it was still running in #Zellij, along with the upgrade. I guess this isn't really a complete solution. If your multiplexer dies, you still have a broken system.

But then you have to deal with the fun world of layering.I'd say running a multiplexer makes your update about 90% safe. I say 90% because it won't save you from a power surge without a UPS =P
