I went to a new dentist and they took my blood pressure. I've never had a dentist take my blood pressure before. Is this a thing now?

@GreenZeta Were you getting any cavities filled? I asked them one time why they took mine. I was told it was because the novacaine and such can elevate your blood pressure. For ordinary people, it's no big. But if you're already very hypertensive it can cause problems.
