Everyone knows that #fashion has a #sustainability problem. What role does #strategy play in helping fashion and luxury brands adjust the nature of demand for their products towards a more #sustainable basis?https://www.fashionstrategyweekly.com/p/content-strategy-sustainability-and#sustainability #sustainablefashion #climatechange

@jquillin nice!Though I posit that companies to this day by and large fail to quantify "externalities" (the thing where social and environmental costs are offloaded to society) as strategic risk. Both their own and that of the competitive landscape need be gauged to make informed decisions and drive change.I would love for truly innovative apporaches to blend fast fashion impulses with, say, circular economy principles (like https://ddc.dk/tools/tool-01-circular-strategies-wheel/#) to address those strategic shortcomings.

@jakob Agreed. There are brands that are willing to take those risks but not enough. It’s a collective action problem. There are a number of DPC tech solutions like your idea that are working to use circular economy principles and speed up product design and manufacturing. But there is so much more to do.

@jquillin High fashion, couture, has reached astronomical pricing and that "out of reach" pricing will keep it in minimal supply. We, the "common folk", have control in what we decide fashion should be and fashion can be recycled, reused, clothing restyled to suit our personalities.#ReCycleYourClothes #ReUseFashion#ReStyleThriftStoreFinds
