       🎂 Since I LOVE to do this every Nov 11, wishing a HAPPY 30th BDAY to the MOSAIC browsers which is at the root of literally EVERYTHING we do online. Developed by a small visionary group of students at NCSA at Illinois, the world changed for ever. Can you even imagine what might have happened w/o it... who knows.

       @henrihelvetica I was grad student at Stanford, and I remember sitting in the computer lab playing with Mosaic. It blew my mind. I immediately taught myself HTML and spent hours on forums talking to people from around the world.I was dirt poor, but when Netscape launched later that year (?), I told everyone I knew with money to buy stock. They did not.

       @grammargirl Ha. Anyone slightly removed from SV would likely look at you funny. Again, the internet was still sparse back then.
