Finally getting the courage and the time to back up the data of every app on my phone and upgrade #LineageOS from 19.1 to 20.It only took me half a year 😅

Now I have the surprise of finding out that #andOTP is not in F-Droid anymore. Looks like the project is dead!What are my options?

I got #FreeOTP from F-Droid. Seems like a good replacement for #andOTP.

@cosmin Also on 19.1 and dreading the upgrade to 20. It’s been so stable that I don’t even think about upgrading but those security patches would be nice.

@rnilo My upgrade went very well, I didn't experience any issues since then. The most time time consuming part was backing up the apps data one by one. In the end I didn't even need them because the upgrade didn't wipe data so I didn't lose anything.1/3

@rnilo I struggled a bit with installing the latest recovery image, because at least for my phone you have to do some incantation of holding down 3 buttons right after rebooting, otherwise the previous one gets back. I can almost never get that right. I think I ended up using the old one but it worked.2/3

@rnilo#Aegis works great, I am very satisfied with it so far! The transition from #andOTP was very easy, I was able to just import a backup file.

@cosmin Great! I'm always amazed it doesn't get recommended more. It's just so good compared to most other options.
