@boilingsteam at the moment I don't feel the need to go running to get the update, mine works just fine. Maybe on Deck 2. For now I just want to enjoy the games. :ablobowo:

@boilingsteam i really wonder if i could make some decky loader thingy to implement proper arcade-like features like credit system at least so that people don't hog the cab all the time.

@boilingsteam It is a nice refresh, but there's definitely no need for it to replace the one next to me right now. Though we did consider getting a second one in our household at some point, so this may make it just a tiny bit more likely to happen 😜

@boilingsteam New revision sounds great and "not too expensive", but would be a waste of money, so no.I mostly play SteamDeck connected, so no much benefits for me except heat and screen.

@boilingsteam I just got my Deck LCD like 3 1/2 months ago and I am a bit jealous regarding the OLED one, but I am gonna keep mine and upgrade in a few years if Deck 2 or 3 comes out...

@boilingsteam for me, the upgrades aren't worth it given my limited use (I really only use mine when travelling). Only big draw is the battery capacity but I have a battery bank already.It's nice to see these incremental updates but I won't consider upgrading until I see some serious CPU/GPU performance increases.

@boilingsteam Absolutely not, tho I got my Deck at launch. I never take it out of the apartment and am always near a charger, so I haven't felt impacted by the battery life. My gf feels the same way, tho mostly because she uses hers a lot less than I do.I'd only consider upgrading if I could do an exchange (even then, eh...), or when a more advanced model comes out, maybe 3 years down the road.I simply don't have the funds for frequent updates.

@boilingsteamI never had a OLED handheld, Display or TV. I guess it helps brightness in direct sunlight? I hope it can be turned down indoors at night enough that it is comparable to the old Deck. I'm not trying to burn my retinas.Its Special Edition, I expect it to sell out. WiFi 6 sounds nice and I do love the look how it reminds me of the Xbox 360 glory days and even Xbox Y2K and 90s Nintendo tech too.I may have to sell my Deck and buy the upgrade. Valve is a champion for us after all.
