A friend of mine has just come back from four days in Iceland (The country) with his wife and kids.Two chicken wraps and a shared burger and chips, four Sprite drinks Ā£75!He said he spent just over Ā£900 on food! "Pete, we never went anywhere fancy, we just ate at cafes with bog-standard food like chips and burgers or similar."I won't be going to Iceland any time soon.

@Steve Apparently, Finland is the place to go at Christmas if you have young kids. None of these countries appeals to me; I don't do cold.

@dick_turpin I went to Iceland for a week for a conference back in 2018. We rented an airbnb and cooked many of our own meals instead of paying for a hotel and eating in expensive restaurants. Even the locally brewed beer is outrageous. We went out to a bar one night and were paying over US$10 for a pint!
