       @jonmasters @wonka I went to a local RISC-5 meetup and heard some complaints. Literally heard "there's this guy Jon Masters at Red Hat" and about his negative influence. Had to control my face. The core of the complaint is the SBSA, unnecessary complexity of UEFI, poor applicability and adaptability of ACPI. And they expressed cautious optimism about overthrowing jcm's evil reign and getting back to Device Tree. I was just eating pizza and listening to all that.

       @pro @wonka hahaha. I think it’s hilarious when I hear the RV fanbois talking about overthrowing standards. They rely on standards everywhere in their lives, but don’t want to put the effort in because that’s hard

       @pro @wonka usually it’s the kind of morons who would hate on a car repair shop if they produced a random axle or brake pad of YOLO size they just invented. Or rant about it not working when their kinda-USB device didn’t work. But rules don’t need to apply to them, only to everything else in life 😂
