I've been absent for days, and I'm sorry for that. Life has been happening at warp speed - something that always happens on a #farm and when raising kids. I'll try to take the next few days to share about everything that's been going on. In the meantime, enjoy this glimpse of my #paradise.#Venezuela #Homesteading #Permaculture #Organic #Sustainable #LifeIsBeautifulThe video is of a scenic view from the farm looking north to Lago Maracaibo. The sunlit clouds are reflected in the lake.

@TraRay Thank you for sharing. We would never see #Venezuela but for your family farm. #minnesota.

@TraRay @Pollinators That view is breathtaking. I like the sound of this as I enjoy seeing your updates. As autumn kicks in here and we head into winter I’m grateful for seeing the spring and summer progress elsewhere around the world.

@BroadforkForVictory @Pollinators I never get sick of it. 💗 We are so close to the equator that there is minimal seasonality here... A slight change in day length, a slight shift in temperature, more consistent rains so it can officially be called a "rainy season". But I'm originally from northern MI, and sometimes my heart aches with nostalgia around seasonal changes. I appreciate the ways they impact culture and the distinct experiences in nature one can have.

@TraRay @BroadforkForVictory. We are fortunate to have the best of both worlds in the Mastodon universe. We are cheered by the greens from other side of the world. The rain and wind put the leaves on the ground in southern #minnesota. Except for the red oak. #sustainability

@TraRay @Pollinators Although it’s fascinating seeing a flavour of life near the equator I do like having the clearly defined seasons we have in the northern hemisphere. Winter is the trade off we have to make for all the others.
